Sorry, boring. Something in the storytelling has been lost since Vex. I’ll keep buying, and I’ll keep reading but just no spark in the last two books.I like the clubhouse being family friendly now, quite a lot, and I love revisiting old friends but I didn’t connect with Cash or Livvie.I honestly was shocked that Livvie didn’t adopt the child that came to them during shift as she seemed to have a connection. I kind of felt that Livvie didn’t know how to live for herself in any meaningful way. Like, if she were really reflective she’d have adopted that boy because it seemed to be what her heart wanted, but she just let herself get by with the scraps she was given by Cash. I get the idea of not trying to force his hand but I don’t get being a doormat. She’s relegated to the role of babysitter a bit while the rest of the club goes on rides and she’s left behind and while I understand not pushing the issue I think it is unhealthier to ignore it.If that baby hadn’t come along I seriously doubt she and Cash would be together. Just didn’t feel anything there which was exactly how I felt all during Vex. It makes me sad that these girls just don’t use their voice when they’re strong women.
