It started off really well but then the drama became too dramatic. I would really like to know how aunt Clara died too?!? It is never explained. Anyways, the plot seemed solid with the runaway mL from abusive ex-lover who happens to meet with the other ML traveling through town. It just became ridiculous when the mL almost dies not once but twice and some other very convenient happenings. The “bad guy” turns out to be a narcissist douche bag that I can’t even bring myself to hate because he’s SO ridiculous and unrelatable. The ML’s alpha dad is like a crazy nice loving parent, why so much whining about him from the ML?!? Overall, I like the story and enjoyed the humor but I almost didn’t finish it.
