Very humorous and lighthearted; an easy read. I have read only one of the previous cue ball mysteries; it, too, seemed to have quite a few characters. An excess of characters can sometimes prove confusing to the reader, but in this case, each of them was so individual--or oddball--that they were quite clear. A repetition of certain phrases and words (i.e., "stellar", "She's scary") can be just a touch irritating, but overall, the writing, punctuation and grammar were excellent, so there was nothing to distract the reader from the actual story. It's sort of pleasant to find a mystery in which the murderer is fingered through deductive reasoning rather than forensics. All in all, a very enjoyable tale.
